This is what I'll be avoiding, as if my life depended on it, tonight. Instead, my roommates and I have opted to stay in, order some food, watch some movies and enjoy each other's company. We will be ringing in the New Year quietly from the comfort of our couch.
Why in God's name would I ever celebrate New Year's Eve in Times Square? I would be standing for 8 hours, unable to move and unable to leave to go to the restroom. It's going to be cold with a rain/snow mix. Do I even need to mention the thousands of stupid tourists crammed into one little stretch of street? I thought not.
I hope you get to be as comfortable as I will be. Happy New Year!!

besides, how would you escape a zombie if you're crowded in a small space with thousands of people, confetti in your eyes, and with all of the subway and manholes blocked off and inaccessible? you might as well lay there like road kill.
