Guess what I saw again...

If you guessed Avatar, you're correct. My roommates and I saw it yesterday in the morning. Because I had the day off (thankfully) I was able to get up early, see the movie, run some errands, then go back home and relax for the rest of the day. It was great.

We saw it in 3D, which is a must. In my opinion, you need to see it in 3D. It's not overwhelmingly 3D and it doesn't give you a headache. It just enhances your viewing experience. I believe all of my roommates enjoyed, despite the sharts coming from the old guy at the end of the row (sorry IPJ).

I do realize that I'm becoming obsessed with this movie, but I can't help it. I haven't felt passionate about a movie for a long time. Mostly that has been happening with plays that have touched me. But Avatar is something else. I can't even put my finger on it.

So, do not judge this movie until you've seen it. Don't say that you're "afraid it's going to be so spectacular that it won't have a good story or plot." It does. Trust me when I say that it does. I've heard a lot of people use that excuse. Frankly, I'm tired of it.

Next step: seeing it in 3D IMAX. My Dad talked me into it, and I'm already making plans. (I probably didn't need much convincing.) It's finally time for me to see an IMAX movie. Avatar will be my first!

I leave you humming "Dedicated to the One I Love."

  1. Well, I can't blame you for this heavy interest; the parents and I are all with you there. Just make sure you don't go so far into this love of Avatar that you fall to "Avatar depression," which is apparently a real problem for a lot of people. They're so amazed by and in love with Pandora that they become severely depressed that they can never go there. Now that's extreme.
