I was updating my FB status and realized there are going to be some things I'll miss desperately when the Zombie Apocalypse occurs.
Lesson 6: Things to be missed. Enjoy them now, because as soon as the "Big Day" [and by "Big Day," I mean the day when the crap hits the fan and the infected overrun us (and by us, I mean those people out there who aren't following my lessons] happens, nothing will be the same.
A.) Hot Chocolate. Or for those of you who like it, coffee. No one will be in the local Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks ready to quickly and efficiently pour your favorite, hot beverage. Or give you donuts for that matter.
B.) Donuts, for the reason listed above.
C.) We will miss electricity. It will last for awhile until the machines that men look after start breaking down. We will be in the dark without electronics of any kind. If you have electric appliances, you're screwed.
D.) Ice Cream. No one will be around to make it and even if there were, where are we going to store it to keep it frozen? Our electric refrigerators will cease to run.
E.) We won't be able to take long walks on the beach (or anywhere else for that matter). It will be more like breakneck speed runs to get to safety.
F.) Cute, but sometimes uncomfortable shoes will be gone. Mostly for the same reason as above.
D.) Shows like "Glee," "Supernatural," and "Lost" will end abruptly and we'll never know how they end. No TV shows. I'm pretty sure those who are responsible for getting a major television show up and running will have bigger things to worry about. Like how to survive when the entire reanimated cast of "Glee" is wreaking havoc on California.
E.) Clean laundry. Let's be honest, no one is going to be worried about how clean their clothes are. That means that everyone is going to smell really bad.
F.) We'll all miss hot showers. There will be no way to keep the hot water heaters running. We will be able to use fires to warm up small amounts. Goodbye to the day of showers and baths, hello to the days of sponge baths. That sucks.
G.) Home. Those of us who are surviving will most likely have to relocate numerous times. Your new home is now going to be what ever shelter is safest. Except for my parents' house, which will be protected by the Anti-Zombie Strike Force (AZSF). For details on how to join, please contact my Popo Jijo.
H.) What we will miss the most is normalcy. The everyday things that we're used to having. Those habits we've painstakingly acquired will be dust in the wind.
Treasure all these things as much as you can. Right now we have them, soon we won't. You should probably go back and brush up on the previous lessons. You can't be TOO prepared. Also, this was mostly a list of what I would miss the most (as you can tell, I have a terrible sweet tooth). But you can add more if you'd like, for your own personal reference.
I leave you humming "Can't Smile Without You."
